Guide

Your colour seasons, explained

Some colours make you look rested and radiant; others wash you out. Colour analysis sorts those into a palette that suits you. Here's how it works, and what each of the 12 seasons looks like.

The three things that decide your season

Warm or cool. Do golden, earthy colours suit you (warm), or do blue-based, icy ones (cool)? This is your undertone — the single biggest factor.

Light or deep. Does your natural colouring read soft and light, or rich and dark? Light colouring suits lighter palettes; deep colouring can carry stronger, darker shades.

Bright or soft. Do clear, saturated colours flatter you, or gentle, muted ones? This is about how much "punch" a colour should have.

Four families, twelve palettes

Those three traits combine into four broad families — Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter — each split into three for a total of twelve. Yours is the one whose colours echo your own colouring instead of competing with it.

Light Spring

Light, warm, and fresh. Delicate colours with a little glow.
